Sunbathing on Gulhi beach…

Gulhi Island has one of the finest sandy beaches in the South Malé Atoll. During the late 70’s and early 80’s Gulhi was famed among tourists for its picture-perfect image and fine sandy beach.

Today tourists and visitors to the island can enjoy the fine sandy beach at the North end of the island and the beach at the South End of the island. Thanks to the people of Gulhi island, tourists and visitors can enjoy the North end as a sunbathing beach (Bikini Beach) where swimwear is permitted.

Tropic Tree is not beach front but just five minutes away from the Bikini Beach. The hotel has limited sun lounges (sun beds) and sun umbrellas for our guests to use on the beach.

We may also provide sun beds and sun umbrellas on the South end beach. Visitors to Gulh island can enjoy two different beaches on opposite end of the island.
