Gulhi Island, Simple Life!
The word “gulhi” is locally referred to a container (type of pottery) traditionally used to store “rihakuru”: an authentic fish paste, delicacy Maldivians cook by slow cooking tuna soup (garudiya).
Food at Tropic Tree
Tropic Platter is our in-house restaurant. The ground floor garden restaurant serves the main meals and breakfast for our guests. Our friendly staff serves continental breakfast with a Maldivian touch daily.
Transport
There are daily scheduled speedboat ferry boat services from the airport (MLE) and the capital Male’. Speedboat takes 30 minutes to reach Gulhi Island and approximately costs from USD 30 per trip (one way) tax inclusive.

Gulhi Island has one of the finest sandy beach in the South Male’ Atoll. During the late 70’s and early 80’s Gulhi was famed among tourists for its picture perfect image.
